Weddings
What started as a hobby over 25 years ago, has since developed into a flourishing specialised business, offering couples a personal service when planning their wedding flowers. Each wedding is different and unique and Jan aims to make couples feel special, relaxed and comfortable. ‘Personal floristry with passion’ is key to all of Jan’s work. Look out for Jan at North East Wedding fairs such as Judges Country House Hotel and Gisborough Hall throughout the year.
Teaching
With over 20 years teaching creative flower arranging for the Adult Education Service, Jan has a great wealth of knowledge and experience. Equally qualified in Floristry, one skill compliments the other. Jan runs weekly classes, courses and workshops throughout the year encouraging others to develop floristry skills further. Demonstrating
As a NAFAS National teacher and Area Demonstrator Jan’s love of flowers has taken her across the UK and internationally. Demonstrating in a variety of venues such as churches, cathedrals, stately homes and theatre audiences of 400 people. Details can be found on NAFAS (National Association of Flower Arranging Societies). Jan enjoys visiting clubs and is happy to travel to other NAFAS areas. Noted achievements in Jan’s career has included demonstrating on the BBC programme “Castles In The Country”, being President of New Dimensions and having work featured in the national “Flower Arranger” magazine.
